Avance Clinical is launching a new worldwide program to support women and minority groups who are pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Targeting the Life Sciences sector, this initiative offers financial support, practical industry experience, and opportunities for international exposure to help build a more diverse and inclusive pipeline of talent for the life sciences industry. The scholarship is offered under the Avance Diversity in STEM Award.
Program overview
- Financial assistance: monetary support to help recipients continue their STEM education.

Eligibility
To be considered for the Avance Diversity in STEM Award, applicants must satisfy all of the following:
- Demographic: open to women and minority groups pursuing a STEM degree.
- Enrollment status: currently enrolled in, or recently accepted into, a recognized STEM program.
- Level of study: undergraduate students.
- Commitment: demonstrate enthusiasm for STEM and a dedication to advancing diversity in the field.
Eligible fields of study include (but are not limited to):
- Life Sciences: Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Pharmacology
- Clinical Research and Clinical Sciences
- Medical Sciences: Medicine, Nursing, Public Health
- Data and Technology in Health: Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering
Applicants should highlight their interest in STEM and describe how they will contribute to a more inclusive life sciences community.
