Greater Houston Area STEaM Scholarship

Overview
We are offering $5,000 scholarships to students from the Greater Houston area who are high school seniors, college freshmen, or college sophomores and intend to major in a STEaM-related field in college.
Eligibility
- Applicants must live in the Greater Houston area.
- Open to high school seniors, college freshmen, and college sophomores.
- Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0.
- Must plan to pursue a degree in a STEM or accounting discipline (STEaM fields).
- Must be enrolled in a two- to five-year college or university by Fall 2026.
- Prior Alliant scholarship recipients are not eligible.
- Students who applied previously may apply again but must submit a new application.
Application components and instructions
Written responses (Required)
- Address the following questions in writing:
1. How has your interest in STEM or accounting shaped your academic goals?
2. Describe a person or event that significantly influenced you.
- Suggested length: up to 200 words per question.
Video essay (Required)
- Upload a video to YouTube and include the link with your application.
- In the video, please:
- Share some fun facts about yourself.
- Explain why you should be selected for this scholarship.
- Suggested video duration: 1–3 minutes.

- Completed written questionnaire (required)

- Official transcript (required)
- At least one letter of recommendation (required)
