Introduction
To be eligible for either the CSHSRA Member Award or the Interview Scholarship, applicants must meet the submission requirements and deadlines listed below. Home-schooled applicants should follow the special instructions provided on the application.
Eligibility
- Must have completed high school and be enrolled in a trade school, post-secondary vocational program, college, or university to receive scholarship/award funds.
Application checklist (items required for consideration)
1. Completed application — due May 3, 2026.
2. Recommendation form completed by your school principal or counselor. (Home-school applicants: see the application for instructions.) It is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure the school sends this recommendation by the deadline.
3. Official transcripts.
4. Essay.
5. Interview with the scholarship review board at State Finals (required for interview-based awards; see note below).
Awards and amounts
- Four-Year Member Award: $500. This award is paid once the application, school recommendation form, and transcripts are submitted. An interview is not required for this award.
- Interview-Based Scholarships: Applicants who advance will be interviewed at State Finals by an independent committee composed of individuals unaffiliated with CSHSRA. A minimum total of $3,000 will be distributed among recipients, with exact amounts determined by the committee.
Performance-based awards
- 1st and 2nd round winners at State Finals: $100 per event
- Queens contestant winner: $250
- Year-end All-Around Girl and Boy: $250 each
- State Finals All-Around Girl and Boy: $250 each
Award disbursement requirements
- Recipients must provide the CSHSRA Scholarship Committee with the name and mailing address of the college or school in which they are enrolled.
- Scholarship and award funds will be released only upon written request.
