Overview
Attorney Terry Bryant and his firm are offering their annual college scholarship to one U.S. high school senior. The award is intended to help with the costs of beginning college and to encourage young people to create messages that promote safer streets. The scholarship winner will receive $2,500 to assist with tuition, books, housing, or other educational expenses.

Prompt
Create a short video (maximum 60 seconds) that answers this question:
If you could spend up to one minute with your younger self when you first began high school, what advice would you give about staying safe on city streets — whether you’re a driver, passenger, cyclist, or pedestrian?

Why this matters
Far too many people are killed or seriously injured on America’s roads each year. Alongside legal advocacy for injury victims, we want to amplify youth voices offering practical safety guidance. We hope submissions will produce powerful, peer-to-peer messages that encourage safer behavior in communities nationwide.

Eligibility
- Must be a current U.S. high school senior.
- Open to applicants regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or disability.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must plan to enroll at an accredited four-year college or university.

Required materials
All entries must include:
1. A fully completed application form.
2. A recent photo of the applicant attached to the application.
3. A video (up to 60 seconds) responding to the prompt above, submitted as a link (for example, uploaded to YouTube or Vimeo).
4. A high school transcript (official or unofficial) that shows the student’s class rank and size.

Optional
- One or more letters of recommendation describing the applicant’s accomplishments, academic promise, and involvement in school and community life. If a recommender needs to send a letter directly to us, they should use coo@terrybryant.com.

Presentation guidance
Applicants are encouraged to produce a message that will connect with high school peers — students who are beginning to drive, gaining independence, and making daily decisions on city streets.

Selection process
- Attorney Terry Bryant, together with a panel of judges from the firm, will select a single winner.
- Judges will evaluate the video alongside academic records and school/community involvement.
- Submissions must not contain profanity or other inappropriate material.
- The judges’ decision is final. The selected winner will be notified by telephone.
- The scholarship award is $2,500, paid in a single installment. Checks will be issued to both the student and the college or university the student plans to attend.

Ownership and use of entries
By submitting materials, applicants transfer ownership of all submitted content — including copyrights and trademark rights — to Terry Bryant PLLC. The firm may display, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and otherwise use entries for promotional or other purposes without further payment to the applicant. Submitted materials will not be returned.

Use of personal information
The scholarship winner, finalists, honorable mentions, and their legal guardians agree that Terry Bryant PLLC may use their names, submitted content, photographs, school names, area of residence, and award details for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

Liability release
By entering, applicants agree to hold Terry Bryant PLLC and its employees harmless from any claims, losses, or liabilities related to participation in the scholarship program or receipt of the award. Terry Bryant PLLC reserves the right to use submitted content as described above.

Deadline
All application materials must be received by midnight CT on June 1, 2026.
