2026 Scholarship Notice
The ScholarshipCONNECT application for the 2026–27 academic year is now available. Submit your completed application by March 6, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
Overview and timeline
- ScholarshipCONNECTSM opens each year in mid-December. Applications are due at the beginning of March; awards are announced across April, May and June. Scholarship checks are sent in July directly to the schools attended by the recipients.
Who may apply
- Eligible applicants include graduating high school seniors and students already enrolled in college who live in the Greater Dayton area of Ohio. The eligible counties are Montgomery, Miami, Greene, Darke, Preble and the northern portion of Warren County.
About ScholarshipCONNECTSM
- ScholarshipCONNECTSM serves as a single application portal to explore and apply for more than 300 scholarships administered by The Dayton Foundation. Most awards are restricted to students who reside in the Greater Dayton region.
Local scholarship programs
- Dayton–Montgomery County Scholarship Program: Provides renewable scholarships each year to students from participating Montgomery County high schools who have earned their high school diploma during the current academic year.
- Montgomery County Ohio College Promise Program: Offers scholarships and mentoring to students affected by poverty. Participants are identified in eighth grade and receive ongoing mentoring and program support throughout high school.
- Ohio Department of Higher Education: Publishes a range of scholarship and grant options for high school students, college students and adult learners.
