Stanislaus Community Foundation Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Stanislaus Community Foundation
Overview
We are a place-based public charity founded by and for residents of a specific region. The Stanislaus Community Foundation manages about 150 distinct charitable funds created by individuals, families, businesses, and public and nonprofit organizations. Since 2002, SCF has distributed more than $15 million in grants and scholarships across our region. Whether a fund is established in memory of someone, to honor an educational institution, or to support a particular field of study, Stanislaus Community Foundation scholarship funds aim to benefit students now and for generations to come.
Types of scholarships
SCF offers both needs-based scholarships (awarded according to financial need) and merit-based scholarships (awarded for academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, or other accomplishments). A complete list of available scholarship funds can be found on our website.
Eligibility and application requirements
What you’ll need to apply:
- Reliable internet access on a computer or mobile device.
- A regularly used email address (you’ll also need one for college applications).
- High school transcripts — official or unofficial — that show your GPA. If you’re unsure how to obtain transcripts, contact your school counselor or registrar. Upload a clear, readable file; photos taken with a smartphone are acceptable if they are legible.
- Your FAFSA Submission Summary (available after you submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Instructions for viewing your FAFSA Submission Summary are available online.
Important FAFSA/SAI details:
- You will be asked to enter the Student Aid Index (SAI) shown on your FAFSA Submission Summary. The SAI is the index colleges use to estimate your eligibility for financial aid. It is calculated from the information you provide on the FAFSA. SCF uses the SAI to determine eligibility for needs-based awards and considers it alongside other factors when evaluating merit-based scholarships.
- If you are a DACA recipient and need help with FAFSA, please consult the California Student Aid Commission for guidance.
- If a parent or guardian is unwilling to provide financial information, or if you want to understand how parental data is used, please review the guidance available online.
Applying if you or your parents are undocumented
Yes — you may apply for SCF scholarships if you or your parent(s) are undocumented. Our application does not require Social Security numbers. For additional resources and information about financial aid for undocumented students, please see the relevant online guidance.
