Applications for the 2026–2027 academic year are now available. Prospective applicants should review the scholarship criteria and begin assembling their materials promptly.
Application period
All applications must be submitted between March 6, 2026, and March 13, 2026, by 11:59 p.m. PST. Applications received before or after these dates will not be considered.
About the Survivor Scholarship
The Quell Foundation Survivor Scholarship supports select high school seniors and current undergraduate or graduate students who have suffered the loss of a parent, caregiver, or sibling to suicide. This award was created through The Quell Foundation’s Irene Pasierb Memorial Fund to raise awareness about inequities in care and treatment for people living with mental illness and to promote effective interventions.
Eligibility
- High school seniors, current undergraduate students, and current graduate students who have lost a parent, caregiver, or sibling to suicide are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must meet the academic requirement listed below.
Required application materials
To complete an application, please prepare and submit the following:
- Academic transcript
- Personal statement
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50
- Two letters of recommendation (from a professor, coach, counselor, or manager)
- Financial documentation: Form 1040, Student Aid Report (SAR), or a tax return form
