Introduction Founded in 1955 through a trust established by the late Aubrey Lee Brooks, the Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors from a 14-county region of North Carolina. Central administration of the Brooks Foundation scholarship program is handled by the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority. Introduction and history The Native American Scholarships Endowment Fund was created in 1988 to promote cooperative relationships and constructive engagement between archaeologists and Indigenous communities.
